Co-op Showcase Their Vegan-Friendly Festive Offerings

Consumer co-operative movement, the Co-op, has launched a plant-based alternative to a Christmas roast.

For the first time ever, the food retailers are providing vegans with a selection of meat-free options for the festive season.

As part of their meal deal, they are offering a vegan Festive Feast Sandwich and as a sweet treat, you can sample their vegan-friendly individual mince pies.

For your pre-feast nibbles, an Indian-style sharing feast comprising of a selection of jackfruit samosas and cauliflower ‘popcorn’ and an Asian-style sharing selection including Vegetable ‘Candles’ and Sweetcorn & Mangetout Twisters are up for grabs – both can be found in the freezer aisle.

In addition to this, their Irresistible range will include a Sweet Potato, Coconut and Roquito Pepper Soup, perfect for a light lunch or starter and as a main, a seitan Roasting Joint wrapped in smoky rashers stuffed with an apricot and cranberry centre. If that isn’t enough to whet your appetite, Mini Roasted Vegetable Tarts in a tomato pastry case are also available to try.
