The award-winning vegan and vegetarian food and drink distributors, founded in 2011 by Team GB athlete Lisa Gawthorne and business partner Karl Morris, are planning an ambitious growth of their business, thanks to funding support from HSBC UK.

With their diverse portfolio of European vegan brands including Panda Liquorice and Captain Kombucha as well as two of their own brands Peanut Hottie and Free From Fellows, they plan to expand and reach out to other appropriate vegan food companies.

Recently, the meat-substitute brand LoveSeitan announced that they will be teaming up with Bravura Foods in a bid to increase their popularity in the UK retail market.
Karl Morris, co-owner of Bravura Foods and winner of the award for Innovation at the Insitute of Directors Awards 2019, commented: “Moving our banking over to HSBC UK and securing this funding means we’re able to grow the business faster as demand for our products increases. Since their launch eight years ago, the company has grown significantly with a staff increase of 55 per cent since 2017 and turnover growth of 45 per cent in the past year. HSBC’s seven-figure finance package will help streamline Bravura’s operations process, which includes ensuring the company’s inventory and stock-flow is dealt with efficiently so the business can continue to grow.
