Vegan Brioche Buns Developed by Foodservice Group

Brioche buns, which typically contain butter and eggs, have been veganised by a leading foodservice group.

The eggs and butter have been switched to vegan alternatives, while creators have tried to ensure that the product still replicate the classic style.

The product has been created to ensure that it is fitting the growing demand for plant-based food.

Danielle Meehan, Foodservice NPD Manager comments: “After witnessing a rise in both veganism and interest in brioche amongst different diners, we knew we had to begin offering an option that could hit both markets with a product that satisfies the need for brioche whilst suiting the vegan lifestyle.”

“This brioche-style bun still delivers all the flavors of a classic bun but is a more inclusive premium burger carrier perfect for both vegan and non-vegan diners.”

As there has been a rapid growth in the meat-alternative market, it is likely that the demand for accompaniment, such as burger buns, will also rise.
