A vegan meal replacement, Soylent, is going to be launching in the UK, and will be available in three flavours: cacao, café mocha and original.
Soy protein is the main ingredient, and each drink is a complete meal with 20 grams of protein, vegan omega-3 fatty acids and 26 essential micronutrients. Bryan Crowley, Soylent’s main chef, said: “For many of us, a busy lifestyle means it’s hard to get the nutrition we want, despite good intentions.
“Falling back on bad habits of skipping meals, snacking on junk food or eating nutritionally sub-par foods can become the norm as we struggle to maintain a healthy balance.”
Soylent was established in 2013 as an alternative to unhealthy, quick and easy foods. The brand has expanded their product offerings, with drinks that have caffeine included, as well as powder-form meal replacements.
The drinks will be available from Amazon UK from September 18, for £39.99 for 12 bottles.
