Vegan dog food brand expands to Israel

Plant-based dog food brand, v-planet, has announced its expansion to the Israeli market, via the retailer Vegpet. The company makes 100 per cent vegan products for dogs, with several items made available to buy in the country.

Lindsay Rubin, vice president of v-planet, said: “With more self-identified vegans per capita than any other nation, Israel is often considered the most vegan-friendly country in the world.

V-planet and V-dog only use plant-based ingredients

“Consumers have demonstrated an interest in switching more dogs to a plant-based and cruelty-free diet, and we found this expansion a natural fit for our brand. We look forward to offering our friends in Israel a high-quality, healthy alternative for their pets.”

V-planet was founded off the back off San Francisco-based company v-dog, and has been successful in Canada and Australia.

Rubin added: “At v-planet, we’re passionate about nutritious, yummy products for dogs that are cruelty-free and environmentally sustainable.

“We hope that by continuing to expand v-planet’s availability, we can help more dogs and save more farmed animals.”

V-dog has been creating plant-based dog food since 2005, but the v-planet brand hopes to expand the products to more vegans wishing to see their dogs follow a plant-based diet.
