Vegan health food snack available on Virgin Atlantic flights

New health food brand Boostball has launched a range of natural protein balls made from just seven natural ingredients.

One of the two vegan variants -Boostball Maple and Cinnamon – has been available on Virgin Atlantic airlines in individual portion packs since the beginning of April 2017.

The brand, co founded by Dan Chambers and Steve Bessant (the latter ex Coconut Collaborative) was conceived with the strap line of ‘less ingredients, more protein’ at its heart and comes at a time when consumers are increasingly looking to incorporate more protein into their diets.

Dan Chambers, co-founder of Boostball says: “When we set out to change the world with Boostball, we wanted to make sure we kept to our idea of ‘Less Ingredients, More Protein’, but we also wanted to make sure the ingredients we used were natural, healthy and beneficial to our bodies. Our balls are high in protein, which serves as building blocks for muscle growth, and they contain only natural sugars found in fruits and plants, making them a perfect nutritious snack, post-workout protein replenishment or as an energy booster during exercise.

“Our balls are also a rich source of a wide variety of vitamins and minerals such as Vitamin A, B, E, B12, Calcium, Iron and Zinc.

“Made with raw, cold pressed ingredients, there is no baking and no refining – just pure healthy protein bliss with every bite.”

Steve Bessant, nutritional coach and co-founder of Boostball, adds: “Boostballs are a great alternative to your average sweet snack. They contain only real wholefood ingredients, so you know you’re not getting any nasty additives or refined sugars. They’re also a source of natural vitamins, minerals and fibre, as well as being high in protein – making them nourishing and filling. Boostballs’ combination of protein and carbohydrates is perfect if you’re active and on the go, or just looking for an energy boost to carry you through to your next meal.”
