Vegan Chocolate Brand Launch in Waitrose

NOMO Vegan Chocolate is to make its debut in Waitrose

Following a successful launch in May of this year, the popular vegan chocolate brand NOMO will soon be available to buy in Waitrose – a move that is expected to increase NOMO’s audience significantly.

Luke Longman, assistant buyer at Waitrose comments: “We aim to provide our shoppers with fantastic tasting food, from suppliers they can trust. The exciting launch of NOMO into the free from fixture represents an extension of our successful free from confectionary range, and provides customers with safe dairy, gluten, egg and nut free chocolate which tastes fantastic.”

In the first three weeks of NOMO’s launch in May, they gained over 2.6k Instagram followers. Through to July, the brand saw an average engagement rate of 11.1%, which is well above the industry average of around 2%.

Emma Perrett, senior innovation and brand manager of Kinnerton Confectionery commented: “Kinnerton’s unique offering of delicious safe chocolate has meant the popularity of products has continued to grow, and the launch success of NOMO is testament to this. The brand is dedicated to delivering products that consumers with dietary restrictions, allergies or intolerances can enjoy, without compromising taste.

Supermarket giants Tesco and high street health food chain Holland & Barrett already stock the dairy-free treats and now, as of the 19th August, NOMO’s range of vegan and free-from bars will be stocked in 215 Waitrose stores. There will be four flavours to choose from – Creamy Choc, Fruit Crunch, Sea Salt & Caramel and Dark Chocolate.
