A new dairy-free, vegan mac and cheese product has been launched in Tesco’s free from section.
The product is sure to thrill vegans around the country, as well as those who suffer from allergies or intolerances to dairy and eggs, and shows the huge demand for vegan products.
Spotted by Instagram user @esther_gillett, Esther described it as the “best one I have tried to date” and told other excited Instagram friends and followers that they would not be disappointed by it.
Labelled free from products have become commonplace in UK supermarkets, especially in Tesco and Sainsbury’s. Recently Sainsbury’s began stocking the first ready-made vegan pizza in a major UK supermarket and already stock their own vegan mac and cheese as part of their free from range.
Last year, Sainsbury’s vegan cheese went viral after it got labelled ‘Gary’ by an angry, non-vegan consumer.
The vegan market is currently booming, with many different new products hitting the shelves, thanks to a 350 per cent rise in veganism over the past decade.
