The classic pub snack gets a makeover
The plant-based and pig-friendly snack is the brainchild of Josh Pearce and Sean Johnson, who came up with the ‘mad idea’ two years ago, whilst sitting in the pub.
Made from soy that has been flash-fried and seasoned with their unique spice mix, the vegan scratchings are called Vegan Pig.
A Kickstarter campaign is in action to raise £5,200 in a bid to increase production and help get Vegan Pig into pubs across the UK. This funding will then meet the minimum orders required to use 100 per cent recyclable packaging.
