Scottish eatery launches innovative take on classic square sausage

Glasgow eatery Rose and Grants has just launched its new vegan menu-but one item is causing some controversy.

The plant-based menu-which was launched last week-includes a full vegan fried breakfast, vegan Indonesian fried rice, Dahl, salads and sandwiches.

But the dish causing storm on social media is the vegan square sausage.

According to news site GlasgowLive: “Carefully made by one of the Rose and Grants’ employees Caroline, this fine delicacy has raised debate, with the majority of vegans loving the concept. However, those who are partial to the classic roll and square are less open minded and of course, took to social media to voice their feelings .

“Bamzooki007 said, “cheers for ruining my day”, while MrSeeKay summed up his feelings towards the delicacy describing it as “boufin”.

“Despite the uproar from the locals are afraid of change, fans of the vegan roll had this to say about it.

Skorpazoid said, ‘That looks f***ing delicious and it would taste even better with all your bitter tears.’.”

User Mook Francisco added: “Vegan square sausage. GAME CHANGER. I shall be along at the weekend to nom one of these….”
