Quorn Expands Vegan Life With New Product Launches

Meat alternative company Quorn™ is expanding its vegan range with four new lines – 12 months after the launch of its first plant-based offerings.
The new products will include Vegan Breaded Fillets and Quorn Nuggets. Quorn is also launching two new chilled soups, suitable for vegan consumers – Moroccan Chicken Soup and Thai Chicken Soup.
When developing the products Quorn worked with vegan consumers to identify the products they would enjoy most.
Peter Harrison, Quorn marketing director said: “We introduced our vegan range to appeal to a new target audience and in response to a call from vegan consumers to provide products that they can use to create great tasting meals.
“The success of the range is testament to how hard we’ve worked to develop these products while staying true to the taste and quality that Quorn is known for. We listen to our consumers to find out the products that they would most enjoy and take our time to get them just right for our vegan audience.”
Quorn launched Vegan Fillets, Vegan Pieces and a Vegan Hot and Spicy Burger to the market last year following three years of intensive new product development.
The products have outperformed expectations seeing listings increase by 120 per cent as every major retailer snapped them up. Sales for the vegan range have topped £1.6M and the products have risen to sit within the top 10 most popular meat free products available within all the major retailers.
Peter Harrison added: “Veganism is a sector within the industry that is growing as an increasing number of consumers consider the ethical, sustainability and health aspects their food and we’ll continue to work hard to develop high quality, tasty products for the Quorn range.”
