Prince Khaled Invests in Vurger Co. To Help With Global Expansion

Member of the Saudi Royal Family and founder and CEO of KBW Ventures, Khaled bin Alwaleed bin Talal, has invested in Vurger Co., a plant-based restaurant.

The investment will help the brands expansion in the Middle East and London – its current store is based in Shoreditch.

The company has seen a huge success, and raised 166 per cent of its crowdfunding target in just 72 hours.

Rachel Hugh, the company’s co-founder comments: “We are proud and honoured to have Prince Khaled as one of our key investors in The Vurger Co.,”

“This further confirms and solidifies the position of the brand in the market place, and sets us in such an exciting position to start our global expansion plans! “We’re super grateful for his consistent support and belief in us and the brand.”

Khaled is also excited about his new investment, as he shares: “Vurger Co. was set up by people who left the stability of regular work to tackle the challenges of entrepreneurship because they are passionate about veganism.

“This investment is about helping to bring delicious plant-based food to as many people as possible. It is also about supporting hard-working members of the vegan community who do so much to spread a positive message.

“I’m delighted that Rachel is so excited about this partnership – she’s an incredibly inspiring woman who has had such success so far co-founding a truly groundbreaking business. There is more to come from Vurger Co.”
