Oatly are launching their range of ice-cream, in the UK
The popular Swedish plant-based milk brand is launching three flavours of oat-based ice cream.
Typically, dairy ice cream uses fully-hydrogenated fat, which is the saturated fat in milk that makes dairy ice cream homogenize. However, Oatly has worked out how to use fully-hydrogenated fat from plants instead, giving their plant-based ice cream a more dairy-like texture.
The plant-based flavours include Chocolate Fudge, made with UTZ-certified cocoa that contains chocolate fudge bites, Hazelnut Swirl – a salted caramel ice cream speckled with candied hazelnuts and Salted Caramel – a creamy, salted caramel rippled vanilla ice cream.
The range will be available to buy from the 30th October at the RRP of £4.50 in selected Tesco stores throughout the country.
