Oatly have announced new ice creams, in a range of flavours on their Instagram account. Posting a video, the flavours include double chocolate fudge and salty caramel hazelnut. It is unsure when the ice creams are being released, or if they will be available in the UK.
The brand already makes vanilla, chocolate and strawberry, which is available at selected retailers. Other brands such as Häagen-Dazs added dairy-free ice creams to their range, and Sainsbury’s launched new own brand flavours.
Oatly previously announced that they hope to increase output by 50 per cent in the next few months, as there is a growing preference for plant based milk over dairy. A third of the UK population is expected to be giving up cow’s milk in 2018, and in the US a survey revealed that half of consumers who buy dairy also purchase non-dairy style products.
