Morrisons have recently announced that they will be launching a brand new vegan product, this time in the form of BBQ Jackfruit Mini Hot Dog.
The supermarket giants recently released the No-Moozarella Dippers, which are going down a storm within the plant-based community and now, just in time for summer, they’ve created these battered Mini Hot Dogs.
The American-style banger is similar to a corndog, coated in a crispy gluten free batter, with a mini hot dog inside made from pulled jackfruit that has been slowly braised in a smoky barbecue sauce.
A spokesperson for Morrisons has stated that “This is like a traditional American corndog, but with a smoky BBQ vegan twist. We hope these are a hit with customers at parties this summer.”
Morrisons vegan-friendly range is rapidly increasing, with our supermarket spies telling us that not only do they sell three delicious flavours of their own brand dairy-free ice cream, they also stock their own version of dairy-free cheese as well as plenty of other popular plant-based brands in the form of vegan mince, ham and various sweet treats and desserts.
