Morrisons is catering to all diets this Christmas, with their new range of festive vegan treats

Today, Morrisons launched into their stores a delicious new range of festive vegan treats, which includes no-pigs in blankets, no-prawn tempura and no-duck spring rolls.

Each of Morrisons plant-based Christmas treats is designed to look and taste just like the real thing, meaning that vegans will have a massive choice at the dinner table this festive season.

Morrisons’ foodmakers and chefs have been developing the recipes since the beginning of 2020, to ensure that flavour, juiciness and crispness of each vegan festive treat is as close to the meat alternatives as possible.

The vegan options have been added to the range after Morrisons customers said they were missing adventurous and tasty dishes that were suitable for those on plant-based diets – at respectable prices.

Both Morrisons’ No-Pigs in Blankets and the selection pack of No-Prawn Tempura and No-Duck Spring Rolls will set customers back just £2.50 per pack of 10.

‘We’ve listened to customers’

Tom Coldman, buying manager at Morrisons said: “They say if it looks like a duck, swims like a duck, and quacks like a duck, then it probably is a duck.. Well not this year at Morrisons.”

“We’ve listened to our customers who told us they want to see more choice through the festive season and look forward to seeing these vegan twists on plates up and down the country this year.”

Morrisons are not the only supermarket to launch a own-label range of festive vegan treats this year.

Christmas 2020 has seen more shops bring out plant-based festive food than ever before, with Tesco, Aldi and Sainsbury’s also bring out delicious vegan items specifically for Christmas.

Morrisons No-Pigs in Blankets and Vegan Oriental Style Selection are in stores now.
