IKEA Vegan Hot Dogs Get 95 Per Cent Customer Rating and Expand Further Into Europe

IKEA are launching a vegan hot dog, and the new product has achieved a 95 per cent customer approval rating. The new food item is being made available to promote sustainability and give their customers more options when it comes to eating at the in-store restaurants.

The new product was announced in February, and it is expected to be available later this year. It is made from vegetables and served in a vegan bun, and is being marketed as a “greener version of an icon.”

The new product has been tested in Malmö, Sweden, where customers gave it the high approval rating. Peter Ho, sales leader for IKEA’s US food division, said: “With the introduction of the veggie dog, IKEA Malmö is seeing a new customer in their bistro, whether they are vegans, vegetarians, flexitarians or meat-reducers.”

The vegan hot dog will be in stores across Europe by August this year, and launches in America at the beginning of next year.
