Holland & Barrett are looking to add another 500 new vegan products to their stores around the UK, in light of the rapid increase in veganism over the last few years. The retailer currently stocks around 800 vegan and vegetarian products, however they are expanding their product range to cater for the growing market.
Items they are looking for include: snack foods, chilled and frozen items, drinks and sports nutrition products. Emma Cockerill, Holland & Barrett’s director of product development, said: “We’ve long been committed to a plant based lifestyle, even offering members of the Vegan Society a discount in store.
“With the growing amount of vegans in the UK comes the need for an expanded range of great products for them to choose from.
“We know from our suppliers that vegan foods taste better than ever and are available in many more categories than just the chiller. Which why we are open to working brands of all sizes, from full distribution to online only, or listings in our bigger H&B More stores.”
The retailer announced in May new plans to open a vegan-only store, and is the second high-street retailer to do this, following Superdrug’s Little Vegan Pop Up.
