High street chain EAT launches vegan festive foods

Yet another High Street favourite has launched a vegan sandwich as part of its festive range.

EAT, which has over 100 stores in London and across major cities in the UK, has two plant-based productions as part of its Christmas menu.

These are the vegan festive bloomer (£3.75), which the eatery describes as: “A festive mushroom, chestnut and walnut stuffing with spiced carrot ribbons, roasted parsnip puree, spinach and cranberry on seeded bloomer bread.”

The other option is the spiced roast vegetable and freekah hot pot (from £5.50), tomato, roasted aubergine and roasted butternut squash combined with red chilli, freekah and spices. It is served with crunchy winter slaw.

An EAT spokesperson says: “What’s your festive favourite? Innovative fresh food-to-go retailer EAT has announced the launch of its new Christmas food range. The range will inject a festive flourish into the high street and the menus at all of its sites.

“The recipe developers at EAT have raided the tastiest ingredients from the Christmas larder to bring a range that will suit a wide spectrum of tastes.”
