Heather Mills Invests in Plant Based Milk Brand Mylkman

Heather Mills, vegan businesswoman, has invested in plant based milk brand Mylkman, and now joint owns the business with founder Jamie Chapman. Mylkman carries the traditional milkman concept and delivers plant based milk around London.

Chapman delivers plant based milks around London with the product in glass bottles that will be sterilized and reused, after he saw a growing movement for plant based milks. Speaking to the Huffington Post last year, Chapman said: “”I saw that the vegan movement was growing and growing. More people are ditching dairy, for both environmental and animal cruelty reasons.

“Mylkman offer your classic plant based flavours, like almond, in addition to funkier bottles, like pistachio and sweet chai and chocolate, coconut and oat. As well as these fancier varieties giving them an edge on supermarket-stocked brands, there’s also the 12 per cent minimum volume of nuts in very bottle – significantly higher than most mass-produced blends.”

Environmental concerns are at the heart of what they do at Mylkman, with 10 per cent of their profits given to Greenpeace as well as being plastic-free.

The investment by Heather Mills will allow for the expansion of the business, with nut butters and ready-to-drink coffee drinks being launched later in the year. The investment will also see financial and business support, using her business experience from VBites.
