Flora now makes all products vegan

Worldwide margarine brand Flora, has announced its switch to becoming a completely plant-based company. Flora previously offered a vegan spread, but now all items are dairy-free.

The updated recipe has no preservatives, artificial colours or flavours and is approved by The Vegan Society. It is available in four varieties – Original, Light, Butter and Dairy Free.

Steven Hermiston, UK and Ireland general manager at Upfield, owner of the brand, said: “Health and well-being has never been so important to consumers, people care more about what goes into the products they are feeding themselves and their families, but they are not prepared to compromise on taste – and they shouldn’t have to.”

He added: “With a great new recipe making Flora more delicious than ever, our new 100 per cent plant goodness range can be enjoyed by the whole family. Plant-based nutrition is at the heart of the Upfield business and Flora, with its plant goodness, is set to lead the charge and marks a key moment for us and the wider category.”

The brand will see a national relaunch, with online PR activity and a TV campaign later in the year.

All of Flora’s products are vegan from now, with the rebrand launching into supermarkets on 18th March.
