What is scheduled?

Culinary Theatre

The Culinary Theatre will allow visitors the unique chance to sample the foods on display on the show floor cooked by professional chefs and gain tips about how to incorporate the products into easy and delicious meals for all audiences.

Fifteen live sessions will take place over the course of the show. The line-up will include Meatless Farm, which will present its versatile meat alternatives, OGGs will demonstrate its aquafaba egg alternative, and OmniFoods will showcase its latest products from Hong Kong.

World Plant-Based Taste Awards

Elsewhere, the event will host the first ever World Plant-Based Taste Awards. One of the first of its kind, the awards will focus solely on the taste of a product and offers both established brands and innovative start-ups the opportunity to be officially recognised as a taste sensation.

The awards are open to vegan foods across a broad range of categories, including the best sausage and the best cheese, and select categories will be tasted and scored in front of an audience by a panel of leading culinary experts live on the show floor.

The winners will be announced at the end of the first show day during the first official World Plant-Based Taste Awards Ceremony.

Keynote Speakers

The show will also welcome Heather Mills, Founder of V-Bites, to its keynote speaker forum taking place live on the show floor.

During her talk, Heather will explore how she transformed her health with a plant-based diet, the challenges and opportunities of launching a plant-based brand, and an overview of the current landscape of plant-based food in the UK.

Exclusive Conference Programme

Plant Based World Expo will play host to an exclusive conference programme featuring a jam-packed schedule of cutting-edge educational content. The ticketed seminars have been designed to explore the benefits of embracing plant-based eating across a variety of industries, including in the public sector catering, hospitality, and foodservice sectors.

Joining the line-up is David Mulcahy, Culinary Director at Sodexo, who will take to the stage to share real-life case studies and offer advice on how to successfully incorporate plant-based foods onto menus.

Live Pitching Sessions

Plant Based World Expo has also joined forces with Beyond Animal to present a live dragon’s den-style pitching session. The feature will highlight some of the most promising start-ups and scale-ups in the plant-based space, bringing together international fundraising businesses and investors.

Businesses and entrepreneurs looking to raise funding are invited to register their proposals on the Beyond Animal website to win the opportunity to pitch to a panel of investors and industry experts live at the show.

Exhibitors

The interactive show features will run alongside a packed show floor, hosting some of the biggest and best brands from around the world, many of which are exhibiting their products for the first time in Europe at Plant Based World Expo.

Visitors will be offered the opportunity to discover and sample a range of innovative plant-based products from companies including Quorn, THIS, OmniFoods, Finnebrogue Naked, and more.

‘Plant-Based Innovation’

Jonathan Morley, Managing Director of Plant Based World Expo, concludes: “We have designed the show features to offer visitors an immersive insight into the latest industry thinking and celebrate the incredible innovation taking place within the plant-based sector right now.”

“With so much happening, from the first-ever taste awards, through to live cooking demonstrations, exclusive tastings and our conference programme, there is something for everyone at the show. I can’t wait for our visitors to experience it first-hand.”
