Dairy-Free Milk Brand Reveals New Branding

Alpro reveal new product development strategy

Alpro have launched a new range of specially formulated barista milks as well as a new range of yoghurts. The new products are designed to drive plant-based food and drink into the mainstream consumer market.

Alpro Barista is a new dairy-free range of milks, intended for use in tea and coffee. Available in three flavours, oat, almond and soya, the new milks are perfect for foaming or for pouring straight from the carton – ideal for consumers who want a professionally made hot beverage, at home.

Alpro Greek Style with Granola is the brand’s high-protein yoghurt but with a serving of granola. Available in a convenient 140g recyclable cup with an integrated spoon, the yoghurt pot makes a handy and healthy breakfast or on-the-go snack.

Marketing Director at Alpro UK & Ireland, David Jiscoot commented: “Research shows that 40% of food-to-go shoppers want to see healthier choices when they are out and about,”

“and with demand for plant-based at an all-time high, it’s increasingly valuable for these types of products to have visibility at multiple touchpoints in-store.

“When you also consider the popularity of our plant-based alternative to yoghurt range in the UK, it’s clear that now is the right time for retailers to capitalise on this growth via impulse sales too.”

“It’s true that plant-based hot drinks are proving a popular choice for more and more consumers at home, and with research also showing that 44% of coffee drinkers are planning to drink more plant-based coffees in the year to come, the opportunity to take this one step further with the launch of Alpro Barista is clear.”

The new launches came in mid-August and are just the start of a new wave of innovation under Alpro’s brand refresh, with their biggest-ever logo and packaging makeover.
