Vegan restaurant chain by CHLOE has gained a $31 million investment, to aid the expansion of a further 20 restaurants across the US, Europe and the Middle East. The funding was gathered by several investment groups in order to make the expansion happen.
by CHLOE was co-founded by vegan chef Chloe Coscarelli in 2015 with Samantha Wasser who was the creative director of hospitality firm ESquared. Coscarelli split from the partnership amid disagreements with ESquared, however the restaurants still carry her name and branding. By Chloe serve vegan versions of burgers, meatballs and mac and cheese, as well as vegan sweets.
Across New York City, Boston, LA, Providence and London there are 10 by CHLOE locations, with a second London restaurant under construction. Veganism has become more popular and continues to grow, with the restaurant chain meeting the demand for vegan food, and the expansion serves the ever-growing vegan population. Locations that are planned in the expansion include Dubai and Canada, and in the US there are plans to add more restaurants to the Boston area.
