Brixton Based Vegan Restaurant Launch New Options

Brixton Based Restaurant Halo Burger Launches Two New Menu Items

Halo Burger was founded by Ross Forder, who had the sole goal of making meat-free mainstream. His popular plant-based burger restaurant is the UK’s first 100% plant-based bleeding burger joint, based at Pop Brixton – a temporary project that has turned disused land into a creative space for local, independent businesses.

Claiming to be the only restaurant in the world to “specialise” in the Beyond Burger, the Halo team have spent over 18 months developing “a secret seasoning” to complement the Beyond Burger.

Now, they are introducing two new creative dishes to the menu.  Launching the 16th August, a deep-fried, cornflake and biscuit coated vegan magnum ice cream will be available to try as well the THIS Isn’t Chicken Nuggets, created by the newly launched meat alternative brand THIS, who have been busy showcasing their products in a range of retail establishments.

Founder Ross Forder commented: “The movement towards meat-free isn’t going anywhere. At Halo Burger, we’re expertly placed to showcase the best new food technology in a way that’s familiar for 99% of the population. We believe if the general public is given an option that tastes as good or better than their usual meat option, with the added benefit of fewer greenhouse gasses, less water used, and zero animal cruelty why wouldn’t they take it?”
