Brentingby Gin launch refillable bottle initiative in sustainability drive

Leicestershire-based gin distillery, Brentingby Gin, has announced that they have switched to sustainable energy, and are introducing a refillable bottle scheme.

Noting that their customers have concerns about the environment, the gin makers have decided to switch to renewable energy, with a wind turbine installed in the farm next door.

The brand has recognised the importance of the countryside, with all it provides for us and how we must do the same and protect the ecosystem.

In a statement released by Brentingby, it reads: “A ‘sustainability first’ attitude to decision making is a necessity for the future of our planet. Brentingby Distillery is committed to the sustainable energy revolution within our industry.

“We distil the best, most versatile liquid possible, and we commit to do so in the most environmentally friendly, ethical way that we can.”

Brentingby is one of the only distilleries in the world to be powered by wind, setting the benchmark for other gin distilleries.

Brentingby are also offering a discount for customers who take their gin bottle to be refilled, another part of their sustainability drive. This gin is vegan-friendly, and is available Harvey Nichols, The Chequers, The Geese and Fountain, and more.
